Bacfree® IC Series Filters are developed and designed as a cost effective, efficient and reliable way of providing purified water for household, industrial and commercial applications. Ranging in size from 14cm (5.5”) to 300cm (118”) in diameter and with flow rates up to 250,000 litres (55,555 Gallons) in a single system arrangement, IC Series filters will meet your varying water filtration needs and ensure the highest quality, ease of operation and maintenance. The filters can be custom designed and pre-engineered to meet any of the specific application requirements.

Model numbers identify individual filter vessel size diameter (first set of number) and number of tanks per system (last set of number). End of model number “A” -automatic system, “M” -manual system; “SF” –single media filter; “DF”-dual media filter; “MMF” –multi medium filter; “CF”-activated carbon filter; “SSF” water softener filter. Filters may be specified either automatic or manual backwash control.
Design flow range based on a Bacfree standard filtration range guideline of 24-61m3/hr/m2 (10-25USgpm/ft2). Models also available at higher flow rates. Selection of flow depends on the influent feed water quality, effluent filtered water requirements and applications, please consult factory.
Recommended operating pressure range for best filtration performance is 20-80psi (1.5- 5.5 bar). please consult factory. Maximum operating temperature range 50°C. For higher operating pressure and operating temperature requirements, please consult factory.
Single System and multi-system can be configured and custom made to accommodate specific spacing/footprint requirements.
System And Filter Media Specification
Multi-Medium Filter System (MMF)
Filtration of suspended particles and contaminants to address the aesthetic water problems and impurities such as the taste, odour, and colour.
Designed for reducing suspended particulate down to 5 microns in size and achieve a turbidity of 3NTU or less.
Dual Media Filter System (DF)
Design to addresses the water problems and impurities within closed loop water system and/or specific water problems such as iron and manganese within any open water system.
Single Media Filter System (SF)
Addresses the water problems and impurities within closed loop water system and/or specific water problems such as iron and manganese within any open water system.
Carbon Filter System (CF)
Addresses the chlorine, organic chemicals, odour and tastes water problems.
Softener Filter System (SSF)
Addresses the water hardness cause by calcium and magnesium.
Note: i. Depending on the water problems and water requirements, a wide selection of filter medium are used - activated carbon, anthracite, birm, manganese greensand, manganese zeolite, filox, zeolite , ion exchange resin etc.
